Arthritis Pain - You Don't Have To Live With It!

For those of you lucky people, who have never experienced arthritis pain, let me assure you from personal experience there is nothing quite like it.

Arthritis pain can strike in any part of the body, and produces a form of exquisite pain that is hard to live with.

Arthritis can strike anywhere in the body, and especially in the hands and feet, the knees and the back.

There are periods when the arthritis pain almost becomes dormant, but when the colder winter days and nights come in, you can be sure that the pain of arthritis won’t be too far behind.

People who suffer from arthritis pain learn to live with it, as it is a very difficult ailment to be treated for.
People who live in warm, dry climates are less likely to suffer from arthritis than those who like in a cold and damp environment.

This is the reason why many people particularly the elderly are inclined to migrate south to a warmer climate during the winter months. Those are who are not fortunate enough to enjoy the privilege of temporary migration have long since trained themselves to recognize the onset of an attack or arthritis pain, and keep themselves indoors till it desists.

Usually, to cushion the fragile joints they wrap themselves up in warm blankets and clothing.

There are various treatments for arthritis pain sufferers, with most of them being in the form of medicine to temporarily ease the pain and discomfort, rather than providing a permanent cure.

Surgical treatments are available for chronic arthritis pain sufferers that can be quite effective if not a little radical.

People have been known to undergo surgery on fingers and thumbs, where bones from their forearms are grafted in place.
More extensive surgery is the replacement of hip and knee joints with a plastic version. This form of surgery is highly effective and for that reason there is always a long waiting list.

After the surgery, the patient suffers considerable short term pain, but gains the undoubted benefit of being freed from all the long term arthritis pain and discomfort that arthritis brings.

In most cases surgeons will give their preference to the elderly, preferring that young people, except in really extenuating circumstances, wait longer for the arthritis pain treatment.
